Our service department offers repair and maintenance service for all makes of medium and heavy trucks, diesel engines, and transmissions. We have over 140 fully trained technicians supported by an in-house training department and the most up-to-date tools, equipment, and facilities in Southern California and Nevada. We are fully certified for Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz, CAT and Cummins warranty repairs, and are qualified for Allison maintenance and rebuild services.

As part of our commitment to remain at the top of the trucking industry, Los Angeles Freightliner now offers an exceptional growth and development program for new diesel technicians. Our Truck Tech Institute (TTI) is designed to ease the transition from technical school into the diesel industry.

Los Angeles Truck Center ’s TTI will build on the skills and knowledge you have already acquired and to help you continue to grow and develop your skills. Our goal is to help you become a master diesel technician. TTI is designed in three stages: Stage One: Introduction to LATC and LAF; Stage Two: Job application and skill development; and Stage Three: Continual Education.

Stage One:

Stage one is an initial 12 week program where technicians will become acquainted with Los Angeles Freightliner and in particular the Freightliner Product. It is a combination of class room and on the floor training. At the end of the twelve weeks technicians will know what it takes to be successful in the diesel industry and specifically with Los Angeles Freightliner.

Stage Two:

Stage two will take place over a two year period following the completion of stage one. Stage two focuses on the application of current skills on the floor and the continued development of new and advance skills. Technicians will have the opportunity to participate in additional classes from Freightliner, Detroit, & Mercedes and many others. During this time the technician will receive all the skills necessary to reach the master diesel technician level.

Stage Three:

During stage three the technician will continue to demonstrate improved skill level and job knowledge. As a stage three technician you will have the opportunity to participate in skills refresher courses. You will also receive any additional training that will be required to stay current and at the top of the diesel industry. This is an ongoing process and will continue to evolve with the ever changing diesel industry.
